Camden Council has launched a new Safety Hub bus in order to offer a safe space for people feeling uncomfortable on a night out.
Open on Saturday nights from 9pm to 2:30am, the bus is located on Parkway in Camden Town, with trained staff on board to provide support for anyone who might need help or assistance whilst out in the area.
The announcement of this site coincides with the one year anniversary of Camden’s first ever Safety Hub, which was established as a fixed space in LabTech’s head office in Camden Market’s Hawley Wharf.
Both spaces supply water and refreshments, access to phone chargers and general advice on how to get home from the Camden Town area.

Over the past year, staff and volunteers have engaged with over 950 people around Camden, including communicating with local venues to promote the service and direct people towards the hub on a night out should they need it.
Councillor Pat Callaghan, Cabinet Member for Safer Communities said: “A year ago we launched Camden’s first ever Safety Hub – a dedicated space for anyone who needs help at night – and to go a step further we’ve now launched our brand-new Safety Hub Bus to assist and support anyone who might not feel safe around one of the borough’s most popular night-time destinations.
“Our priority has been to make Camden a place where residents and visitors can enjoy our brilliant nightlife while feeling safe, and both the Hub and bus provides dedicated safe spaces for people to go if they need help.”
This follows the publication of the Night Time Citizens Assembly Report in late November – outlining a new evening and night-time strategy for Camden with one of the key principles being that everyone should feel safe and secure on a night out.
