Will Bryan Danielson retire? AEW All In 2024 preview as wrestling returns to Wembley this Sunday

Wembley Stadium will play host to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) once again next weekend as the American company returns for their All In show.

This is the third All In event, and the second to take place at Wembley following on from the 2023 event.

Around 50,000 fans are expected to attend, with the main event featuring what could be the final match of wrestling legend Bryan Danielson.

Elsewhere on the card, there are matches from huge stars such as Chris Jericho and Mercedes Mone – as well as appearances from many of the UK’s own such as Will Ospreay, Toni Storm, and Mariah May.

The 2023 event was a monumental success – AEW will be hoping for more of the same here with a card that is, at least on paper, stronger than the year before.

Where can I watch AEW All In?

Fans who are not able to attend AEW All In live can catch the event on TrillerTV, formerly known as FiteTV.

However if you would wish to attend, tickets are still available. The event will air at 6pm here in the UK, which for the States is 1pm EST.

Match Breakdown

AEW World Championship Title vs. Career Match: Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson

In the main event, Danielson is putting his career on the line in a final attempt to win AEW’s biggest prize.

He is taking on fan favourite Swerve Strickland, who is defending his AEW World Heavyweight championship.

It is no exaggeration to say that Danielson is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time – if he lost and subsequently retired, it would be monumental.

The two men met face-to-face for an intense showdown on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite to hype the match-up.

AEW American Championship: MJF vs. Will Ospreay

The villainous MJF and Ospreay had an hour-long classic on Dynamite, ending in MJF defeating Ospreay to win the International Championship.

MJF has since renamed the International Championship to the American Championship as, naturally, the USA is the “only country that matters”.

This match-up will almost certainly be a highlight of the show – their last match was brilliant, and both men are major stars.

Many are expecting a homecoming victory for Ospreay, but you can never count out MJF and his dastardly heel tactics.

AEW Women’s World Championship: Toni Storm vs. Mariah May

Storm defends her Women’s World Championship against London’s own May, in a feud that has been bitter and personal.

May feigned love for Storm for months before turning on her after winning the women’s Owen Hart tournament and therefore the opportunity to fight for the belt.

Storm has seen her darker side dragged out of her in this rivalry, and therefore this should be an intense and dramatic bout.

AEW TNT Championship Coffin Match: Jack Perry vs. Darby Allin

Two of AEW’s ‘four pillars’ are taking each other on for the TNT championship, as ‘scapegoat’ Jack Perry takes on fan favourite Darby Allin.

The former Jungle Boy has created a new-look TNT championship for his reign, revealed just last weekend – something he wouldn’t want to lose so quickly to Allin.

Allin is no stranger to the coffin match as he competed in the tag team version at last year’s All In, picking up the win alongside Sting.

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone vs. Britt Baker

For the TBS title, champion Mone will defend against the former AEW women’s champion Britt Baker.

The ‘CEO’ is an incredibly accomplished wrestler holding multiple titles in WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling, which gives her a wealth of experience.

Baker is an AEW original and no stranger to title gold.

She will have her hands full however with Mone’s insurance policy Kamille at ringside giving her something to think about.

After brawls at Comic Con and attacks from Kamille, Baker will not just be motivated by adding to her belt collection – instead payback will be the name of the game.

A view of the stage from the 2023 All In wrestling event

Casino Gauntlet Match

The Casino Gauntlet match at All In will determine the next number one contender for the AEW world championship.

This is a rumble style match, the key difference being that rather than elimination occurring over the top rope, a competitor has to pin or submit an opponent to eliminate their opponent.

Orange Cassidy secured the top spot (final entrant) in the contest after defeating Rodrick Strong and Kyle O’Reily in a three way match on Dynamite.

No doubt there will be surprises in store with not all the entrants revealed.

It could lead to some huge reactions and the winner will indicate how the next few months of shows are dictated.

FTW Championship: Chris Jericho vs. HOOK

Jericho is among the biggest names still going in wrestling today.

With his new moniker of the ‘learning tree’, he will attempt to teach his younger adversary HOOK a lesson.

The FTW championship was initially set-up in the 1990s by HOOK’s father Taz, so the belt means a lot to HOOK – however, if he loses this match, he can never face Jericho for the title again.

So he will look to use his youth to his advantage against a veteran of the game who will use any trick in the book to get one over on the up-and-comer.

AEW Trios Championship: The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Killswitch, and Nick Wayne) vs. Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, and Colten Gunn) vs. House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, and Buddy Matthews) vs. TBD

The Trios titles are on the line in a ‘London Ladders’ match, with The Patriarchy’s odds of winning stacked against them as three other teams look to take the crown.

Last year, the House of Black failed to defend their titles in London, so they will look to reverse their All In fortunes this time round.

The Bang Bang Gang are also seeking revenge after being stripped of the titles due to Jay White’s injury and suffering defeat at the hands of The Patriarchy.

There is a ‘wildcard’ trio to be announced as part of the match, with their reveal confirmed for the Cardiff taping of Collision.

AEW Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) vs. The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens and Max Caster)

The Young Bucks will defend their tag team titles in a three way match against two teams who have a vendetta against them.

After their number one contenders match ended in a time limit draw, FTR and the Acclaimed have both secured themselves a shot at the belts.

FTR and the Bucks have faced each other countless times, including at last year’s All In event.

The Acclaimed have battled the champions over the past few months taking their feud to extreme levels when facing them in a Blood and Guts match.

It is an unpredictable contest and it will be interesting to see how the teams will look to one up each other to be able to call themselves the champions.
