WATCH: Junk food advertising ban to include porridge and crumpets

Certain types of porridge, crumpets and breakfast cereals have all been included in a list of products that fall under the government’s new junk food advertising ban.

Products will be scored based on their sugar, fat and protein content, and the advertising of those designated as “less healthy” will be banned .

The legislation will come into force in December, and applies to both paid online adverts and TV adverts shown before nine pm.
